Hawkefest Gives Back: Partnering with Orphaned Starfish

A typical conference takes your money for profit, but an anti-conference like Hawkefest makes it a priority to give back to the world.

That’s why for the 3rd annual Hawkefest celebration, 10% of all ticket sales will be donated to the Orphaned Starfish Foundation to provide vulnerable children with technology, education, and job training. At Hawke Media, supporting underserved communities with vital resources to improve the quality of life is the ultimate goal.

To help spread the word about the organization and the impact they make on children across the globe, here are some important things to know:

What is the Orphaned Starfish Foundation?

The Orphaned Starfish Foundation (OSF) is a 501c3 non-profit based in New York, NY that’s dedicated to helping break the vicious cycles of abuse and poverty that plague so many children worldwide.

Through technology-based education, job training, and job placement assistance, OSF helps victims of abuse, survivors of trafficking, indigenous children, and at-risk youth learn valuable professions and give them support to make a new life for themselves in competitive industries.

In fact, the OSF is already serving over 13,000 children with 62 technology center in 27 countries. They provide services throughout Latin America, South America, Central Africa, the Caribbean islands, Southeastern Asia, and there are several new countries joining the movement every year.

How You Can Get Involved with the Orphaned Starfish Foundation

By attending Hawkefest 2019, your ticket price automatically makes you a direct donor to the OSF and its mission. However, if you’re looking to get involved on your own, here are 3 easy steps that you can take:

  1. Visit osf.org to learn more about the foundation and the work they do for children everywhere.
  2. Follow OSF on social media to see first-hand how they change lives and provide valuable training to children in need.
  3. Be a part of the global movement and donate any amount you can to support over 13,000 children receiving a life-changing education.

Remember, you can be the change that you wish to see in the world, so take a few minutes to explore this worthwhile cause and make a lasting difference.
