Surfjack Shop’s goals were to increase online sales and to increase physical sales in the cafe. Surfjack had no lead capture tools or automation program, and didn’t know how to elevate its lifecycle strategy.

Hawke Media sent an SMS conversion email to help grow the brand’s phone number database. Hawke also developed a QR code strategy, placing codes with QR codes in the hotel rooms for discounts on the online store and at the physical location. Scanning the code triggered an automation series. Hawke Media implemented two new automations for SMS marketing: Browse Abandon and Cart Abandoned.

In one month, the data showed the value of SMS marketing, which drove 57.75% of the total online sales revenue. The QR codes in rooms made it easy for customers to join the SMS program and see the immediate benefits of doing so. By getting more initial business in the door and online, the value per purchase also increased, boosting overall ROI for the entire store.
